Don’t Count Your Chickens

28 Jun

I wish I had a buck for every time as a kid I heard, “Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.” It was usually my mother who said it and it was typically in response to something I wanted, or felt I needed in my life. Every time I heard it I would cringe.

I know that when my mother uttered these words she was doing what she felt was best for me. She wanted to protect me from the hurt, pain and disappointment that I would experience when I didn’t achieve what I desired. This could be anything from wanting to be a patrol boy in grade school, to wanting to be on the football team in high school, to asking out the cutest girl in my class, to my desire to join a fraternity in college. She was afraid that I would get my hopes up “too high” and thus feel tremendous loss when I failed to succeed.

Her words were never a comfort to me. They were more a reminder that I would probably fail. As a kid I had no knowledge of the Law of Attraction. But deep inside I had this inner knowing that asking for what I wanted, believing it would manifest in my life and expecting that I would succeed, made me feel good. And hearing these words, spoken by my loving mother, felt like being drenched with a large bucket of cold water. Immediately, my thoughts would change from positive to negative, from success to imminent failure. As my thoughts changed so did my mood. It would go from positive, happy and expectant, to one of fear and depression.

As an adult and a student of spirituality, I know the secret of manifesting in your life all that you desire. It requires vigilance. It requires you to ask for what you want. It requires you to visualize yourself already in possession of what you want. It requires you to believe that what you ask for will indeed come to you. And it requires you to expect what you desire to arrive in your life, as if you were waiting for UPS to deliver what you ordered on Amazon.

Hearing “Don’t count your chickens before they hatch,” at this critical time will do only one thing, destroy your efforts to create YOUR perfect life.

Don’t listen to people who say these words, and never say them to anyone you love and care about!

Michael

My Version of the Law of Attraction

8 May

The more you create through using The Law of Attraction, the easier it is to finally live the life of your dreams. ~Michael Luckman in Luckman’s Laws

If you haven’t been living under a rock for the last 10 years you probably have heard of the Secret and its message: The Law of Attraction.

But exactly what is this so-called universal law? And how does it work in your life? Simply put, it says that we attract into our lives that which we think about and put emotion to. In other words, your thoughts become the things in your life.

Now you’re probably thinking that sounds pretty good. I’ll just think about $1,000,000 to come to me and poof, there it is. Unfortunately, it’s as simple as that and as complicated as that.

Yes, the law states that our various thoughts all vibrate at a different rate. That those vibrating thoughts go out into the Universe and attract other like thoughts that vibrate at the same frequency. Thus creating all the good that one would want. But it is also a double-edged sword.

The challenge we face is that of the 60,000 thoughts scientists tell us each of us think in a day, 90%, or 54,000, are negative. This means that we have a 9 in 10 chance of creating negative things in our lives, the very things we don’t want, as opposed to the things we do want. That’s why we so often say the law doesn’t work for us. But it does. But only in reverse.

Now the complicated part. We must bar the door to negative thoughts. But considering that our minds generate so many thoughts in a day that it is near impossible. Except for one unique tool. We feel our thoughts. What I mean by this is your thoughts create feelings. Happy creative thoughts generate feelings of joy and happiness. Negative thoughts generate feelings of fear, uncertainty, doubt, worry and sadness. But, by feeling your negative thoughts, you can choose to change these thoughts to positive ones.

To make the Law of Attraction work for you follow this simple plan. 1) Ask the Universe (or your higher power) for what you want (positive thought). 2) Believe that it will indeed manifest in your life (faith). And, 3) Monitor your thoughts through your feelings. Never allowing negative thoughts to negate the positive ones.

It will take some work, but I can assure you that the law does work. And the results are fantastic!

Michael

Michael’s Law of Deliberate Manifestation

15 Apr

Have you ever thought of what your life would be like if you could be, do and have everything that you have ever wanted? Of course you have. These are the things you dream of.

But until you do something to manifest those dreams into reality they remain just wishful thinking.

What prevents most of us from turning these dreams into reality? Typically it is fear. Fear that we may not reach our goals. Fear that we may fail. Fear of the embarrassment that failure brings. Fear that we are asking for too much. Fear that if we did succeed it would complicate our lives. Fear that we would lose the ones we love. And probably the biggest fear of all; that if we did not succeed it would prove what we always believed about our self – that we didn’t deserve to have what we were seeking.

The truth is we were created by our maker to have everything. Yes, EVERYTHING! In the book A Course in Miracles it says, “That it is not that we ask God for too much, but that we ask him for too little.” And so we live lives of littleness, rather than the magnitude that we were created for.

The Law of Deliberate Manifestation goes hand in hand with the Law of Attraction. Both are universal laws that work to create the things in our lives. And to do this, to manifest our dreams, we need to change our thoughts from those of fear and limitation to those of abundance and unlimited possibilities. And here are steps you can master to do just that:

First, decide what you want. The Universe does not recognize size. It will provide you a mansion just as easily as a one room shack down by the railroad tracks. So, dream big.

Second, ask the Universe for exactly what you want. The greater the detail the easier it is to manifest. If it’s a new home you desire begin by seeing the home you want in your mind. If you have a picture of the home of your dreams this becomes even easier. Now create a movie of it in your mind staring you. Walk up to the front door and open it. How are you feeling? Try to get your emotions going. Think of this house in your mind as your house. You own it. Now walk through your house and experience what it feels like to be in each room. Go out to the backyard and see yourself with your family and friends as you BBQ Sunday’s dinner. Experience the joy and pride you’ll feel.

You can do this for whatever you desire; the perfect job, the perfect soul mate, the perfect business.

And third, never waiver from what you want. Hold the picture in your mind and be patient. What you ask for will manifest in your life. It has to. It’s the LAW.

How to Create the Perfect Life in 3 Steps!

26 Feb

If you haven’t been living under a rock for the past 10 years you probably have heard of The Secret and its message: The Universal Law of Attraction.

But exactly what is this so-called universal law? And how does it work in your life? Simply put, it says that we attract into our lives that which we think about and give emotion to. In other words, your thoughts become the things in your life.

Now you’re probably thinking that sounds pretty good. I’ll just think about $1,000,000 to miraculously appear in my bank account, and poof there it is. Unfortunately, it’s not as simple as that.

Basically, the law states that our various thoughts all vibrate at different rates. That those vibrating thoughts go out into the Universe and attract other like thoughts that vibrate at the same frequency. These vibrational thoughts then act as magnets, attracting to you the things you desire in your life.

The challenge we face is that of the 60,000 thoughts scientists tell us each of us think in a day, 90%, or 54,000, are negative. This means that we have a 9 in 10 chance of creating negative things in our lives, the very things we don’t want, as opposed to the things we do want. That’s why we so often hear people say that the law doesn’t work. But it is working, only it is working in reverse.

Considering that our minds generate so many thoughts in a day we must bar the door to negative thoughts, or we will create negative things in our life. And to help us do this, we have been given a very unique tool. We feel our thoughts. What I mean by this is that our thoughts create feelings. Happy creative thoughts generate feelings of joy and happiness. Negative thoughts generate feelings of fear, uncertainty, doubt, worry and sadness. When feeling fear ask yourself, what am I thinking? It will be a negative thought. Now let that thought go and replace it with the positive thought of what you truly desire.

To make the Universal Law of Attraction work for you follow this simple plan. 1) Ask the Universe for what you want (positive thought). Be specific. Try to picture in your mind exactly what you want. If it’s a new car picture yourself driving this new car and feeling how exhilarating it is. 2) Continue to hold the positive thought in your mind. Believe that in time your desire will manifest itself into your life (faith). And, 3) fully expect that what you want will indeed be delivered to you (expectation).

It will take some work, but I can assure you that the law does work. In fact, look around you. Everything you see first started out as a thought in someone’s mind. Your mind is just as fertile. Thus, the next great invention may come from you.

Michael

Expect and it Will Come!

13 Feb

Expectation is the triggering mechanism which attracts into my life every good I desire. ~Born Rich

The above quote comes from a book I read over 20 years ago called Born Rich. It is out of print and impossible to find, but fortunately I have written down most of the positive affirmations it contained.

I love the above affirmation. All too often we use the Law of Attraction to ask the Universe for what we want, and then leave it at that. And when what we asked for doesn’t manifest in our life, in the time frame we demanded, we blame the law.

Expectation is an emotion. Think of Christmas when you were a kid. Every day, starting after Thanksgiving, you thought about Christmas and all the things you asked Santa for.  You never doubted that Santa Claus would bring them to you. You knew he would and you expected to see them under the tree on Christmas morning.

It’s the same with using the Law of Attraction. You can’t just ask for what you want and forget about it. It’s like planting a flower and never watering it. The flower won’t bloom and neither will your request to the Universe.

Expectation, like water and fertilizer, is the nurturing influence that will bring you all that you desire.

To your expectations,

Michael

Expect and You Shall Receive

16 Jan

Expectation is the triggering mechanism which attracts into my life every good I desire. From the book Born Rich.

I know many people who practice the Law of Attraction. Some are quite good at attracting into their lives all that they desire, while others seem to struggle. Never quite creating what they truly want.

I was one of those people who struggled until I was loaned the book Born Rich (unfortunately out of print). What I learned was that I did a great job of asking for what I wanted (planting the seed) but I did a horrible job of nurturing my desire (watering, fertilizing, weeding, etc.). Because of this I would get frustrated and blamed God and the Universe for preventing me from achieving the results I wanted. But God and the Universe weren’t against me. I was against me.

You see I was missing a very important element to manifesting into my life the things that I wanted. There was a part of me that didn’t always believe I would achieve my goals. Instead of expecting what I asked for to come into my life my delusional thoughts and inner voice would tell me that I would never succeed. Why did I believe this? Most often it was because I didn’t think I deserved it. Or my belief, that good things always happened to other people, but never to me. I allowed my negative thoughts, generated by Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt to dominate my thoughts and expectations until I was doing more pushing away of what I wanted, then attracting it.

So instead of pushing my desires away I learned how to expect them. Here are some tips to help you master the Law of Attraction.

  • Ask for what you want. Be specific and remember you deserve to have everything that you desire.
  • Continue to ask for what you want every day, and expect it to arrive, just as if you purchased it on Amazon and are waiting for UPS to deliver it.
  • Whenever a negative thought comes up in your mind that is the opposite of what you want, say, “thank you for this thought, and now I’m going to let you go.”
  • Then replace the negative thought with the exact opposite. Let me give you an example: Say that you asked for a new car. Then all these nagging doubts come up. What if I can’t afford it? What if I’m refused credit? What if I can’t get enough for my trade-in? These thoughts will not only kill off your ability to attract what you want, but they’ll put you into a depression. When they come just say thank you and once again ask for what you want. Then picture in your mind yourself already in possession of that new car, in the color you want, driving it around the neighborhood to admiring glances and then showing it off to your family and friends.
  • Hold that picture in your mind of you enjoying your new car, and never never give up.

To expecting your dreams,

Michael
