I Have Faith

21 Nov

I have faith that whatever must happen for me to achieve my goal, will indeed occur. ~Another Born Rich Affirmation

It is said a watched pot never boils, and there is some truth to that. When watching the pot it seems to take an extraordinarily long time for the water to boil. Much longer than you expected. And so, you become inpatient.

It’s the same thing when you deliberately attempt to manifest into your life whatever it is you want and desire. Using the Law of Attraction you ask for what you want. Then the next day when what you asked for hasn’t arrived you ask for something else. And when that doesn’t manifest you again ask for something else.

To manifest into your life exactly what you want requires patience. If you graduate with a degree in mechanical engineering one day, can you expect to get a contract to build a bridge the very next day? Probably not. You first must go to work for an engineering firm to learn how the process works. As an apprentice you start out designing a small part of a bridge and as you learn and grow in your profession more and greater opportunities present themselves, until one day you are ready to be assigned the task of designing the entire bridge.

The key to deliberate manifestation is to first ask for what you desire in your life. And then each day reinforce your thought by holding strong to your faith that indeed what you asked for will come to you. Along that path there will be some delays and detours. Accept them as part of the process and don’t lose faith.

Remember you deserve to have everything. Have faith and the Universe will give you everything you ask for.

Michael

Desire Without Expectation

21 Aug

Desire without expectation is nothing more than wishful thinking.  The vast majority of people wish positive but expect negative.  (Your Name) expect only positive things to flow to you. ~A Born Rich Affirmation

Please, let me first define what an affirmation is: According to Scott Armstrong of the Boulder Coaching Academy, “Affirmations, really, are simple. They are you being in conscious control of your thoughts. They are short, powerful statements. When you say them or think them or even hear them, they become the thoughts that create your reality. Affirmations, then, are your conscious thoughts.”

Often when I ask the Universe for what I want to manifest in my life I often use the word desire. For example: If I’m asking for a perfect day I’ll say; Infinite Spirit, my desire is for a perfect day today. A day where everything comes my way and where everything goes my way. Or, Infinite Spirit, I desire to write a magnificent blog. One that touches and inspires every person who reads it.

To just desire this perfect day or magnificent blog is wishful thinking. For a desire to become reality requires that it be backed-up by expectation. Meaning, I must have faith that the day I ask for will indeed be the day I receive, or the blog I wrote will inspire the people I wanted it to. Expectation is that faith.

Now here is where most people trip up. They ask their higher power for what they want, but a little voice in the back of their mind whispers to them, “You can ask for it all you want but you probably won’t get it.” And when they don’t receive what they asked for they believe that the Universe has conspired against them. When in reality they really didn’t fully expect it in the first place.

Here is the formula: Ask + Faith + Expectation = Whatever You Desire

Faith vs. Hope

19 Aug

“Hope is wishing…faith is knowing.” Those words come from one of my favorite spiritual authors, U.S. Andersen in his 1954 book, Three Magic Words.

How many times a day does someone say something to you using the word hope? How many times a day do you use the word hope? Like most of us, you probably have no idea since hope is such an innocuous word, almost meaningless. But not quite.

When we use the word hope in our conversations to ourselves, what are we really saying? Take for example; I hope I do well in my presentation to the committee today. I hope I make the team. I hope I pass Thursday’s math final. Or, I hope I close the sale with the Big Time Company.

What you’re really saying is, I don’t think I’ll succeed, but maybe, just maybe the Gods will shine upon me and I’ll do well. Mr. Andersen describes hope this way, “Hope is a pessimist looking at things optimistically.” It sounds good, maybe even temporarily lifts our spirits, but in the end, means bupkis.

The opposite of hope is faith. And faith is a lot harder to believe in. Typically, we as humans have faith in the things we can see, hear, smell, taste and feel. We use the term, I’ll believe it when I see it. But faith is different. Faith requires us to firmly believe in something that’s not yet there. Or, as Dr. Wayne Dyer says, “I’ll see it when I believe it.”

However, we do have quite a bit of faith in the unseen. We have faith that when we throw the switch on the wall unseen electricity will light up our home. We have faith that the microwaves we cannot see will heat up our dinner. We have faith that every day the sun will rise in the east and set in the west. We have faith that the wireless device hanging from our ear will pick-up our voice and transmit it to our phone and that our phone will send an unseen signal half-way around the world. But, where we lack faith is in ourselves, our mind and the power of our thoughts

You see, we are the co-creators of our life. We co-create with our higher power, or as many of us call, the Universe. And to do that we must first plant the seeds of what we desire by firmly asking the Universe for what we want. Then we nurture this seed by never wavering from what we want, with the firm conviction that what we want will indeed manifest into our life. I call this Michael’s Law of Deliberate Manifestation.

And to do this we must develop our faith. Instead of hoping you’ll do well in your presentation, ask the Universe that you make an incredible presentation to the committee. Instead of hoping to make the team, ask the Universe for an unbelievable tryout that thoroughly impresses the coaches. Instead of hoping to pass the math test, thank the Universe for a perfect score. And when it comes to the Big Time order see yourself already celebrating with the order in your hand.

I know it won’t be easy for you. It wasn’t when I first learned this. I had my doubts. Going from a pessimist to an optimist takes time and effort. I went from the glass is half empty to the glass is half full. But the real change happened when I went from the glass is half full to, the glass is half full and when I drink this my glass will once again be filled to the brim.

How to Create the Perfect Life in 3 Steps!

26 Feb

If you haven’t been living under a rock for the past 10 years you probably have heard of The Secret and its message: The Universal Law of Attraction.

But exactly what is this so-called universal law? And how does it work in your life? Simply put, it says that we attract into our lives that which we think about and give emotion to. In other words, your thoughts become the things in your life.

Now you’re probably thinking that sounds pretty good. I’ll just think about $1,000,000 to miraculously appear in my bank account, and poof there it is. Unfortunately, it’s not as simple as that.

Basically, the law states that our various thoughts all vibrate at different rates. That those vibrating thoughts go out into the Universe and attract other like thoughts that vibrate at the same frequency. These vibrational thoughts then act as magnets, attracting to you the things you desire in your life.

The challenge we face is that of the 60,000 thoughts scientists tell us each of us think in a day, 90%, or 54,000, are negative. This means that we have a 9 in 10 chance of creating negative things in our lives, the very things we don’t want, as opposed to the things we do want. That’s why we so often hear people say that the law doesn’t work. But it is working, only it is working in reverse.

Considering that our minds generate so many thoughts in a day we must bar the door to negative thoughts, or we will create negative things in our life. And to help us do this, we have been given a very unique tool. We feel our thoughts. What I mean by this is that our thoughts create feelings. Happy creative thoughts generate feelings of joy and happiness. Negative thoughts generate feelings of fear, uncertainty, doubt, worry and sadness. When feeling fear ask yourself, what am I thinking? It will be a negative thought. Now let that thought go and replace it with the positive thought of what you truly desire.

To make the Universal Law of Attraction work for you follow this simple plan. 1) Ask the Universe for what you want (positive thought). Be specific. Try to picture in your mind exactly what you want. If it’s a new car picture yourself driving this new car and feeling how exhilarating it is. 2) Continue to hold the positive thought in your mind. Believe that in time your desire will manifest itself into your life (faith). And, 3) fully expect that what you want will indeed be delivered to you (expectation).

It will take some work, but I can assure you that the law does work. In fact, look around you. Everything you see first started out as a thought in someone’s mind. Your mind is just as fertile. Thus, the next great invention may come from you.

Michael
